Welcome to Term 4

Hello everyone and welcome to our Term 4 Newsletter.  I simply cannot believe we are in term 4 and the end of the year is fast approaching.  As always there’s heaps in this term’s newsletter and I encourage everyone to click on your child’s learning room to read about all of the magic learning moments from term 3 as well as what our teams have planned for Term 4.

This term all of our Learning Rooms will be having a major focus on nutrition for our children.  We will be celebrating National Nutrition week from Monday 14th October.  We are encouraging all families to bring in fruit of all shapes and colours.  Let’s encourage our children to “Eat a Rainbow”

It’s also a big term for all of our Pre Prep children who are off to school next year in 2020. Not long to go now! Huge thanks to all parents who have completed their “Parent page” as part of their child’s transition statement.  Mareeta has completed all statements and these will be posted to each school on Tuesday 22nd October.   JK has worked closely with all of our local primary schools throughout the year and we look forward to watching our Pre Prep children visits these schools throughout this term. I encourage all Pre Prep parents to contact schools to ensure you are aware of their transition program. In our Pre Prep class we have children heading to 12 different local schools next year. That’s amazing!

As part of our commitment to give back to our community JK are having big garage sale. It’s our very first Books and Toys sale.  All monies raised will go to COUCH.  We’d also like to extend an invitation to any families who’d like to sell items from their car. Each car simply pays $25 to JK (That will go to COUCH) and what you sell out of your car… you keep.  Car spaces are very limited, so get in quick. Please see Linda if you’d like to book a car space.  Please share this event on your facebook page. We’d love to see as many people as possible at our big sale.

A very big thank you to everyone for your feedback and understanding about our upcoming closure and renovations.  A reminder if your family needs further support during this time, please come and speak with Linda or myself.  To date our builders have been on site and the ball is rolling.  We are keeping our fingers crossed that the closure dates will not change, however …. Apparently not all building construction happens as fast as the TV show, “The Block” so …..  if dates change I will immediately inform all families.

Finally a reminder our Family Christmas Celebration evening is happening this term. A fun filled evening with your child up on stage performing with their friends and teachers.  Please keep Thursday 28th November 6:00 – 7:30pm FREE and bring the whole family.

Regards

Hayley and Heath Williams
