Dear Pre Prep families,
Can you believe that we are at the end of Term 2 already…halfway through the year!
We have had a wonderfully busy term with so many ‘Beyond JK’ learning experiences!
Firstly, thank you for coming to our Mothers Day morning. It was a lovely chance to come and just ‘be’ with your child here at Just Kids.
Please remember that you are welcome anytime to do this it does not have to be a special occasion. We always welcome and encourage you to stay and play.
We have been lucky to be a part of
- The National Simultaneous Storytime at Gordonvale State School
- Under 8’s day at Gordonvale State School
- A visit to the Pyramid Residential Care Centre
- Possum Magic Workshop which will we attend the live show in July.
We love to get out and about in our local community and by participating in these days we strengthen our relationships and give the children a lovely introduction to different environments. Especially school.
We have also been focusing on Gardening and Growing. We have been loving watching how our garden out the front is coming along.
We visit for a multi sensory experience and are learning how to care for our environment.
Plus we love having a taste of all of the yummy, fresh veggies!
And growing our very own seeds.
Please take a moment to look at your child’s portfolio to see all the wonderful learning moments. You are more than welcome to take it home to share with other family members.
But please make sure that you notify a staff member if you do and to bring it back for us to keep adding too. You will get to take them home to keep at the end of the year.
Please remember to check out the whiteboard in the room to see some photos and what we have been up to that day. Take a photo of the board and talk about it at home with your child.
We are going to be holding some parent meetings at the end of July.
This is a chance for us to have a chat to see ‘What 2020 looks like for your family’.
We do encourage all families to come in to these and more details will follow soon.
We continue to build upon relationships, social development and friendships.
We are devoted to honouring the children’s agency and letting them learn through PLAY.
Your teaching team continues to be Miss Jodie, Mitsu and Miss Shaylee.
We are approachable any time and want to work together and support your family during your JK Gordonvale experience.
We cannot wait to see what Term 3 brings and thank you all for your confidence in us.
